它静静地趴在水池中，我蹑手蹑脚地走过去，但是乌龟非常灵敏，迅速将头和四肢缩进它那坚硬的壳里，它是那么懂得保护自己。
乌龟的眼睛黑溜溜的，始终盯着水面，似乎在等待着美味佳肴的到来!
我悄悄地拿起了一块肉扔进水中，乌龟听到了声音，便转头看去。它兴奋地爬过去，忽然停了下来，看了看周围，好像在搜查有没有其它乌龟要来和它争这块肉。突然之间，乌龟扑了过去，咬住那块肉。不多一会儿，这块网便消失得无影无踪了。
还有一次，我试图放进去一条小虾，看看乌龟会不会把小虾捉住。可是无论这乌龟怎么奔跑，也捉不到小虾。突然，乌龟灵机一动，连忙掉转方向，等着小虾自己送上门来。可小虾没有料到乌龟会来这一招，没有做好准备。结果被逼到了角落。我看了心里想：小虾小虾快逃啊!乌龟见了，心里暗暗高兴，以为会捉住小虾。可是小虾就在危急关头想出了好办法，只见它迅速往乌龟嘴边的缝隙里钻了过去。乌龟没看清楚，便不管三七二十一扑了过去，结果扑了个空。慢慢地乌龟失去了自信，但放弃了捉小虾的念头。
